1996 audi cabriolet poor transmission shift cold weather
Bought a 1996 Audi Cabriolet(Automatic Trans.
86k miles) last summer. Ran fine in warm weather. During cold weather would shift terribly from first gear.Had transmission fluid changed, runs better but shifting out of first gear is still lousy until warmed up. Mechanic said that this model has a history of seals hardening and the only way to correct the problem is to replace seals at a cost of $2000. Advice please.
