Default 1997 A4 1.8t big turbo options <-- advice needed

The car is a 1997 1.8tqm, 67k and stock clutch (needs to be replaced soon anyway). right now I am running an AWE K04 kit. It's nice but not powerful enough. I've been debating a couple of options for the past couple of days and would like some feedback from more knowledgeable people than myself.

$$ is definitely a constraining factor here. I'm a full time law student and don't have a whole lot of cash flow (I can't turn to my parents to fund my car mods - but I'm not exactly starving)

option 1: Keep my k04 but run custom REVO software. I'm getting my hands on a SPP front mount and a set of 225TT injectors. I was thinking about getting Pro-imports (local tuning shop in MD) to custom tune the REVO software using the front mount, injectors and adjustable fpr. I'd be run the atp fuel rail and one of their adjustable fpr. Obviously this would be the most cost effective option but also very limited as far as hp increases.

option 2: buy STeve's used apr sIII kit. He's looking for $3g's which would mean I need to overextend myself by a bit. I'd really only be able to afford about $2,500 when its all said and done. (I'd be installing it myself so install costs are not part of the equation). I do feel a little funny about paying this much for a used turbo w/ 20k on it.

option 3: get the ATP GT 28RS kit and either use their beta tuning chip or get custom REVO race programming. This kit is $2,400 for a brand new turbo kit sans injectors and programming. So in essence after programming and injectors I'd be still breaking the $3g's mark but it would be a little easier to swallow since it is all brand new. But at the same time, the kit is new to the market and relatively unknown. I've heard good things about ATP hardware so I'm figuring it could be a viable option with the custom REVO software.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Default Option 1...other options do not stop with that one cost...

Option 1, if any makes the most sense...

A larger turbo kit, will require a new clutch almost instantly

You're in school save the cash, time and hassle for other things

Default As a father of a modaholic...

I emplore you...just do the REVO software..option 1.

Once you open up the engine and start replacing parts...IT NEVER ENDS...Bigger turbo: Clutch... downpipes, flanges, exhaust.. MAF...Turbo Timer, boost controller. IT NEVER ENDS...

You need to pay the bills for study investing in yourself..not the car... then in your first year of employment... go buy a new or CPO to your heart's content and get the biggest loan your credit can afford.

Heck.. if you're a decent lawyer you can pay cash for it in 1 year.

Keep it simple...keep it focused... then have fun when you know you can afford to.

Default Option zero.

Save your $. Fix your car when it breaks. Don't go spending your $$$ before you have it, finish school, get a job, then build your dream ride.

$0.02.
