I was driving and got hit from behind on a hit and run. all of a sudden my car started to shake and the check engine light came on. I had parked my car and left it on but then the EPC light came on and the car started to lose power and sounded like it was backfiring. When I uncapped the oil cap, the car sounded like it was gonna choke and die so I screwed it back on. At the same time I heard a whistle coming from the engine and couldn't find where it was coming from.

Can anybody tell me what the problem is?? Did the hit from behind cause that to happen? Anything helps thanks!

You'll have to hook it up to a computer or find out for sure.
