Default 3" from turbo to tip on APR stage III Passat!

Finally got the whole system in. A full 3" exhaust, including down pipe has really unleashed some power up top that was being choked out by the 2.25" downpipe and 2.5" Techtonics exhaust that was on the car. Boost builds quicker now also. I probably gained 500-700rpm for 1bar of boost. I recommend 3" to you APR stage III guys if you are still looking for more. Maybe with another 50 shot on top of that I will be equal on power to those super strong PES equipped A4's in Arizona and Jersey! Pun intended-

Default Not really-

I have a big pre muffler and a flowmaster on the end. About as loud as my the old Techtonics but tone is much deeper.

Default when we put my exhaust together we had a small resonator on and it was unbearable..

i was suprised by how much putting a bigger can on made such a diffrence.

Default Which premuffler do you have? I have a magnaflow premuffler and muffler and...

I want to make my exhaust a little quieter. I don't remember what size my premuffler is.

thanks

Default Like CharlieGSanD says-

From what I have seen and heard literally that a small dinky resonator was not going to do it. So what I had to do was somewhat of a comprimise. I used a DynoMax round straight through design(WLK-17223 from Summit Racing). It does a great job as a pre-muffler. The comprimise I had to make was with how low it is to the ground because of its size. Too big to completley go up into the driveline tunnel. It is about 1/2" lower than the down-pipe. Since I am a front trak guy I have a little more room than the quattro guys so I am really pushing it! I just refuse to have a car that makes you want to kill someone after only 30 minutes of interstate driving. You know, too fricking noisy! I'd post some picutres of it but I don't want to hear all the crap I would have to take- "Why did you do that, I would'nt of done it that way.

Make that under the hood. This will make a difference.
