765 hp Integra on Dyno at SuperFlow AETC...

Every year we host our Advanced Engine Technology Conference. This year, Javier Gutierrez presented some excellent material AND he brought along this engine. We ran it on the dyno and saw 765 flywheel hp (corrected) and about 550 fw hp (observed) at 22 lbs of boost from the Garret T4 turbocharger. This Conference was held in Colorado Springs CO where the elevation is around 6,100 ft. It was very cold that night, which would help make up for some of the elevation pressure loss.
Anyway, here are some pictures. The engine was attached to our SF-901 engine dynamometer. Javier said that this motor has about 150 drag races on it and is about to be retired. The guy who races it says he shifts at 10,000 rpm. He says that it makes over 900 hp in race trim and they sometimes run upwards of 32 psi of boost.

You may have trouble swaying some of the Audi diehards here, lol. It doesn't make enough TQ, hehe.
Honestly, for my perf ride I have my GSR. I went the all motor route, but I often wish I hadn't. While I struggle to achieve 200 HP at the wheels, the turbo guys are making 300 and more at the wheels without too much prob. One guy who worked on my car has a turbo ITR head on a GSR block making 450+ HP and his car is DAILY DRIVEN! It's also in a Civic hatch weighing around 2000 lbs!!! Did I say DAILY DRIVEN? He runs 11s at the track on slicks.
It's funny, since a Drag Gen III turbo kit on a GSR motor at 6 or 7 lbs of boost makes 250+ HP at the wheels. That's funny, my Audi 1.8T only makes around 170 HP at the wheels at 1 bar of boost! The Honda motors really flow like madcakes....

I was making a rough estimate. I haven't dynoed or anything.
APR Chip is "rated" at ~200 HP at flywheel. Flywheel HP is basically a bogus number, using some sort of "correction" factor. In the Honda world, I'm used to chassis type dynos like the dynojet 248, to get actual output per the dynojet at the wheels, accounting for drivetrain loss. MC used to be a dyno operator. Dynos aren't necessarilly the be-all end-all, I guess what's important is something consistent. You can't necessarily compare numbers between diff cars on diff types of dynos or even diff dynos of same type. I vaguely remember seeing posts of an FWD A4 making 165-170 HP at the wheels on a dynojet, but it may have had a K04. I guess I overestimated the HP at the wheels for my K03 A4?
I was also referring to the fact that a B-series DOHC VTEC Honda motor makes ~250 HP at the wheels at 6-7 lbs of boost, bascially a lot more than a 1.8T motor, even running 14 lbs of boost. It's partly due to flow and higher compression (stock), but of course you have very diff engine characteristics. Max power is up around 7600 rpm in the Honda! TQ in a B Series DOHC VTEC is actually very flat, it doesn't build up at high rpm, it's just not much anywhere, but stays the same even at high rpm, thus the high hp. People say that you have to rev the **** out of the motor to be fast, and that's true, but you also rev it because you can, hehe.

Only problem is you have to bore and stroke the motor to get above 350 hp on the honda motors.
I wonder what they would do he would do if he raced with the street tires he went to the drags with, just like he would have to do if he raced someone at the street races or at a stop light. Would probably get beat by just about anything sitting at that light.
