For the same price, the S4.
But more than likely they're very different in price. I like the A4 since it will be less expensive. Pretty easy to get at least 225 hp out of it, and its a manual. I prefer all 4 series cars in manual (or anything under 3500 lbs) and all 6 and 8s in auto.
