Hi, I'm new to this forum and am also a new owner of a 2000 A6 4.2 Silver Quattro. I would like to know the mods that I should make to the car for the best "seat of pants" improvemements (as opposed to Dyno #s) and am considering adding the following to my ride:
1. GIAC TIP Chip Only
2. GIAC ECU Chip
3. ECU + TIP Chip combination

Can any of you guide me in the right direction please? I will do both mods (or any others based on your recommendations) if they make sense but I'm looking for the best bang for my $$$....any words of wisdom??? I know that the 2.7T offers the best in terms of mods but would like some extra pep from my V8....

and get your ECU chip flashed with a high performance program by Speed Tuning USA (www.speedtuningusa.com). You will have to remove your ECU and send it to Maryland for the work, but it's well worth it. You will probably also want to get the TIP chip. This one is only supplied by GIAC...I'm getting mine installed this Friday. I'm getting tired of the slow and wrong gear shifts...Time for a major improvement.
