I talked with a rep at a trade show in WA. he is saying that in 8 months or so they will have a system. it is not a full stand alone the stock ecu will still run the throtle but the aem will run everything else engine wise

Default cool, because when I talked to the owner of AEM at the NHRA SC drags

he said they would not release their dbw stand alone.

Default You can already buy their ndbw setup since this is just so the ecu will control

the dbw throttle that came stock instead of changing over to a ndbw throttle body and pedal setup.

Default I didn't test this on my dbw throttle before I converted

to DBC. But the word is when the coils and injectors, etc are unplugged from the motronic ecu the the dbw throttle diverts to a 1:1 ratio of pedal to throttle body opening.

If you have ever noticed with the power on but the car not started the throttle body is 1:1 with the pedal. It's only once the car is started that the ecu takes over full control of the throttle body!

So in theory you could wire in standalone to the injectors, coils, crank sensor, iat, mat, clt then leave the stock ecu in to run everything else and the dbw throttle would work......

Who want to test it?
