airbag light

Re: You need to use a multi meter to see how much resistance
under the seat of my '01, the airbag connector has 3 wires going into the connector. 2 of them are gold, and the other is a small pin. Are these 2 gold points the ones we need to measure for the resistance? (i already have 2 Sparco seats and am tired of the airbag light) thanks!!

On the plug in the car and on the seat the 2 wires you want are
the 2 closest to each other. That should leave a brown wire that you dont use. My 2000 was 2.5 ohm's which I then just used 4 10 ohm resisters put together to drop it to 2.5 and my light never comes on.

y'all realize, a multimeter can set off an airbag......
multimeter's check for resistance by applying voltage to one side & reading the other. I've seen airbag's set off with a 1/2 life AA battery....
