Default Alright, I'm toastin my tranny fluid...

Anything out there with a higher boiling point...something I won't toast? When my car starts to make 20psi, I guess it really gets the tranny working, and I it gets a bit stubborn.
I know I'm boiling the stuff. Any recommendations?

Default Autobox??? Try Mobil 1, or Amsoil.

Of course there's no flud which will protect
from "severe use"........

Default Should have one already on it???

Maybe a cooler which cools Mo'better!

The Audi autobox's are just not made fer "performance"...........

Their manual gearbox's hold up fairly well under stress!

You might wanna take a look at the German tuners
websights to see if they offer any insight.

Default not boiling oil ........

trans oil is not likely the problem .... takes sustained speed at track to get temps up. Once hot, it starts to 'evaporate' and oxidize slowly. Boiling doesn't really occur.

could have it tested for degradation. Neo 75-90HD synthetic gear oil has good high temp viscosity, and is a tough GL5 recomended for GL4 specs, typical of vw and audi.

Re: not boiling oil ........ For a liqued to evaporate, it reaches its boiling point.

Default then oil and water are always boiling ...

by that definition. water wants to be a vapor a 212F and std pressure, and will boil. water will evaporate at lower temps in dry air, without boiling.

oil does not have a boiling point, but the volitiles will gas off more quickly as temperature rises.
