Any one running the Autronic SMC Kit?

SM2 right here....
Still haven't fired up yet...ran into some problem with the ignition. Had to install a CDI unit and change over to the older coilpacks. The Autronics is a very easy to use unit for tuning. But if you are looking into it, you might want to do some more research then just a good and bad answer. There will be alot of things you will have to remove/change to use a standalone.
What exactly do you need to know?

i also have an Autronics SMC sitting on my desk...
I just got my GT30R from ATP... most of the hardware is ATP, and I gotta say, so far so good. I've installed several turbo kits before, and this one looks like fun.
I have a '01 B5 and am converting to the cable throttle settup as well as a VR6 TB and AEB intake manifold.
As for the standalone, I plan to do what XR4TIC was sayin... leaving my original ECU in there... just to read. Not sure if it'll work, but it is my plan "A". If I get lucky, it might even still operate my variable cams too. I guess we'll see. The SMC unit I'm using is going to be setup w/ the Autronics boost controller and a MSD DIS4 w/ 4 MSD coil packs. It's worth a try.
Big Nipper's setup (SM2)is sweet too, all the bells and whistles.
Unfortuneately its a waiting game for me at the moment because my rods are still not done.
good luck u guys~

An AEB manifold won 't work well with a non-AEB head...
the intake ports are real wide on the AEB, so you'll have a lot of air slamming into a wall when it meets the smaller ports on your head, unless you plan on opening your ports way up.
