Default I have the SPP fan kit, and completely removed the belt driven fan/pulley assembly.
I'm happy with it, but would recommend making sure your ect sensor and fan switch(if equipped) are good. Also, go with a new thermostat, neuspeed from Mach V. I also have the underdrive pulley from SPP, which made getting the right belt size a 6 trip-full day event!

I have it and like it, smoother, look for a shorter belt.
