any idea what psi causes the wastegate to be fully open?

the reason im asking is to get a feel at what psi a mbc should be set to open at...

[i know most people just set it at the max boost they would want to see (i.e. like 18-22psi) which means the wastgate is full open by that point...]

most K04 wastegates i've seen are fully extended by about .8/.85 bar or so. But, keep in mind that those numbers are with no exhaust pressure. That pressure on the wastegate flapper will speed up the process of the flapper opening.

No, it really depends on the spring inside the WG

i think most people know it's a spring that's inside the wastegate actuator

And there are 35-40 springs with different pressures which fit it, sorry about the obvious

they're not designed to be able to change springs easily from the factory. That's why i said "it depends on the wastegate."
