Anyone change their valve seals?
My car is starting to smoke when i start it up cold. I found that there was alot of oil coming out of the pcv valve thing and there was alot of oil below the intercooler but i unhooked the pcv valve and it still smokes. maybe its just some oil left in the intake track but if it is the valve seals how bad is that job on the 1.8t?

Re: Anyone change their valve seals?
it takes quite a while .. 20 of everything.
i was lucky enough to have friends at the dealer and borrowed the special tools needed: chain tensioner compressor, spring compressor, valve seal remover, seal installer
the spring compressor looks like this:<ul><li><a href="http://www.psycode.com/aba/pics/3362/pages/DSCN0595.htm">http://www.psycode.com/aba/pics/3362/pages/DSCN0595.htm</a</li></ul>
