Default Anyone have dealer experience to recalib. their 1.8T chip for high elevation?

Just moved from California to Wyoming (much colder here). I now notice a little pep loss in my gas pedal on our '02 1.8T. Wondering if any one has had their dealer recalibrate their ECM for higher altitude and what that may entail (pricewise). Here at 7,k feet, the air is pretty rare...
Any thoughts are appreciated.

Default No matter what you do there will be a slight loss of pep.

The air is just so much thinner. I notice this when I run at sea level and then at 3000 ft. You must have it pretty bad at 7k feet.

Default The ECU will already compensate, but you will still lose power...more

I live at ~5200 feet and there are many 1.8t's here in Colorado. The car will run better than a naturally aspirated car because the turbo can help pump in more air. I have heard normal losses are between 3 and 5% for every 1000 feet in elevation. Be glad you have a turbo.
