Excellent question. That is what I am trying to figure out. I have searched and searched and found that the K-16'a are stock on the Porsche twin turbos? I think? I have never seen one off of a Porsche so I do not know.

When I picked up the turbos the casing was marked as a KO-3... I was like what?? I am not sure if these are hybrids or not. Maybe they were KO-3s with K-16 internals?

So are they Hybrids? If so where can we buy them.

Default Must be hybrids, the K16's are as big as a GT25.

That is also too big of a turbine for the 1.35 liters pushing each one. I would have to say its a K04 turbine wheel and housing with either a K16 wheel/housing or a machined out RS4 K04 housing and K16 wheel.

Default Good call. They were Hybrids. Question for you Audi2ptzero

I was searching through the forums and I saw that a while back you tested a KO4-23 on your car. If I recall correctly the IC temps were very high at like 20 psi.

I saw that you have an ITS turbo. I spoke with them the other day about doing some work for me. I may do a turbo upgrade next year. I would rather not move to a GT28 set-up that PES and AWE are working on, but I want a little more that the KO4-15 and the EO-5. I have thought about the super KO-4 but as always software is an issue to get a good tune. Any thoughts??

Thanks in advance.

Default It was juan that had or still has the K04-23 on his A4

and it would only run 15psi and at boost level it would heat soak the evo fmic he had on the car.

Are you looking for a setup that works on the stock manifold but gives more power then the K04-15? I can talk to juan about the k04's since he knows alot about all of them out there right now. The E05 is a waste of time and no body really knows much about the super K04 since they are all havine tuning issues with it, it is just a hybrid turbo using a machined K04 housing and a larger K04 wheel and is built by a tuning shop not by borg warner.

BTW what year is your car?

Default Actually I am not sure if we are talking about the same Juan.

I am looking for something a bit more beefier than the KO-4-15 and I too am a bit skeptical of the EO-5. Not sure what I will end up doing. I would like to bolt in to the stock manifold, I will probably have it ported and polished though. I do like the idea of bolt on and kind of stock looking in terms of the application.

I want more than 220 at the crank but less than 270-300. I would like 250 at the crank. That would be perfect.

Thanks.

Does Juan have the Solver S4 with the ITS turbos?
If so I did see him yesterday
