the dealer cannot detect software updrades like apr, giac etc if it is a direct port reflash. if the tech knows how to toggle through the software thats a different story. i know apr sells a security lockout feature that enables you to lock your car in stock mode. you can unlock it with a series of movements on your cruise control.
