Default Anyone have an FAQ on tranny removal for clutch swap (B5 S4)? Or list of required tools?

I've watched it done twice now, but hadn't payed enough attention to recall what special tools were needed to do it myself. This assumes I have access to a lift, tranny & pole jack.

I do recall a long (3-4 foot) 1/2" drive extension being used.

Is it a triple-square that is required on the half-shafts?

What other non-standard tools are required? Anything special for the speed sensor or slave cylinder? Other?

Default For the half shafts you need a special 8mm triple square socket driver.

Socket, XZN-8,"triple square" , 1/2" drive, 100mm long. for CV joints.

Default Here is a link to a full set of the triple square tools on ebay.

But you can find just the 8mm tool for about $7 online.<ul><li><a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&amp;item=4379081809">click here</a></li></ul>

Thanks Mike - is that the only "odd" tool needed?
