Default For anyone looking for head studs on a 20V (4 cyl) or 30V (6 cyl) motor....

I got an email from Raceware saying they will be shipping the kits in August, and they're taking orders now.

I have no affiliation with them, just passing on the info, in case anyone else was interested. I know ARP doesn't make a stud kit for these motors, and I couldn't find anyone else who did.

I ordered a set, I'll let you guys know my impressions once I get them.

http://www.raceware-fasteners.com

Default I have a set on my 12V...

As for impressions, since I didn't do the work, I really don't have any.

Lloyd at TDLRacing did the work. I'm sure that he'll give his impression to anybody who sends him an e-mail.

Default not just increased reliablility, but more even clamping force across the head....

plus more clamping force. This should help keep the motor together under heavy cylinder pressures.

Default Studs allow one to have a more evenly and accuratly torqued head (or whatever.)

A big plus if you remove the head(s) a lot.

Default Will they clear on a 2.7T...

When I removed the heads on my 2.7T, there was very little room where the stock head bolts go. It didn't look like there was enough room to do a stud/nut. How are they doing it?

I'd love to replace my bolts with studs.

Default It takes a special nut....

supposedly, that's why it took so long to develop.
