Anyone out there with experience swapping in a non-VAG engine?

Re: Anyone out there with experience swapping in a non-VAG engine?
You'd need a bell housing adapter, and custom engine mounts. Also, you'll have to figure out a way to use either the 228mm clutch or the 240mm clutch. Wiring the thing up may be wierd?
I know of one non-Audi engined quattro, and that is a 1986 5ktq, that has an LT1 V8 in it. I'd like to do the same swap some time, but go about a few key things differently.

Re: how about running an RX7 tranny and RWD?
Whats wrong with the rear diff? Never heard of one break. If it does, you can pick a used one up for $50. On that car (as well as the CQ) you can use a 4kq or urq rear diff as well. Plus, the 80/90/CQ rear diffs lock.
Keeping it AWD would be way cooler, too
