Anyone use the "narrowband simulator" function of their wideband 02 setup?
I hate to obstruct the exhaust flow any more necessary by sticking a _third_ 02 sensor into it, so I'm considering using swapping the pre-cat 02 sensor for a wideband version and then feeding the narrowband simulator output from the controller to the ECU.
The controller manufacturer (Tech Edge -- www.techedge.com) seems cautious about recommending this and I'm curious if anyone else has done this and if so, what problems (if any) were encountered.
Thanks!

Wide band o2 sensors should be installed a bit further down stream to get them to read correctly
So you wouldn't want to install it where the pre cat o2 is at. I had mine there and when I had a misfire it always looked like I was running lean when in fact it was running rich.

Wouldnt the effect of the cats burning excess fuel skew the true readings?
I would think better b4 cats on a modified vehicle. I dont have any idea what to do on a stock setup xcept modify it:-)

It adds a slight delay but doesn't really change the AFR reading.
They just told me that its best to put them a little further down stream because if your getting misfire and have the 02 too far up stream then you end up with readings that look very lean instead of rich readings further down stream.
