I had my ECU for a 98 A4 1.8t, FWD, Tiptronic chipped by APR back in 99 and it ran great for years. Solder came undone earlier this year, and APR installed their updated software.

The car's idle stumbles when coming to stop, sometimes stalling and the Tip hunts constantly often slamming into a lower gear when slowing.

I had them return it to stock and the car ran fine. I decided to have them chip it again (I needed the power back!)and the car is suffering from the same problems.

Has anyone had similar problems with APRs updated software on a similar year/optioned Audi?

Go back to the version that was running ok - problem solved.

I had a simmilar problem, very inconsistant idle, I drove it hard and it went away.
