You don't follow them but they suck? They announced a few months back that due to cost increases to
them from their suppliers there was going to be a cost increase. They also stated there were 12 long kits 'available' that would be sold at the current price.
I don't know about you but even during this era of 'low inflation' my food, fuel, natural gas and electrical bills have risen steadily each year.

That isn't quite true.
All the kits are now shipped with custom iconel studs in place of the ARP fasteners that were used before. In addition the studs are inserted with an ultra-high temperature ceramic thread locker that costs a bit over 8000$ /pint. So between these improved items and the cost increases from (in some cases new) some suppliers the sales price was increased.
