APR (JPR) sells $1092.5 CND vs APR (US) $650CND
a one of APR authorized dealer JPR quoted me $1092.5 (tax and labour included ) for the chip mod of 1.8t which only costs $650 CND (if ordered from US)....what a difference. !!
is it supposed to be a reasonable price ?~

Labor to put the chip in is a whopping 10-15min. Thats some expensive time at that shop, and its an install you can do yourself (heck, my roommates girlfriend took his out, and put it back in, and shes not even mechanically inclined...).

ya i know, but thee JPR told me it will take 2 hrs to install ( from my memory, it should just take 10~20 mins of swapping the ECU )~~
but other than that, they still charge $950 CND before tax ~~ which is hell expensive

Either JPR is incompetent or cons, the latter sounds more likely.
Take this to them and ask about the 2hrs again, then tell them your taking your business else where. APR(usa) might even like to hear about it.

http://www.goapr.com/Audi/support/ecu_a4_passat_early.pdf</a
