Default APR SureGrips....

Okay, I just ordered a set of APR SureGrips (hi-perf Street) pads. I will be going to the Mt. Tremblant QClub/BMW event next weekend - my first. So, we will see if they live up to the "better performance than Mintex Redbox" claim.

I will post results here next week.

Default Hey Cris, Let me know what you think of those pads.

I'm going to my first event next month at NHIS. I'm going to use C-techs on the track, but I'm looking for an improved street pad to replace my Red Boxes after the event.

Have fun!

My C-Techs lasted to events. Switched to Porterfield R4S.. so far, so good.

Default Jenner, just because...

...you pushed the middle peddle a little too late and gave your car a boo boo doesn't mean that C-Techs suck. I ran them for two years and they never faded on me once (and don't start that "he drives like a candy a$$" stuff either).

Down with hanky twisting!

Default I'm using them just for the track event...noise & dust are irrelevant.

As long as they stop better than Red Box...which they do, I'm happy.

This is my first track event and I'm getting the C-techs as cheap hand-me-down from a friend. When I turn "professional" I'll look for something better.

Default Thanks for the warning...they should do fine for my first track event though.

Nice wheels and tires! I have the same setup.

Default Hated my PField R4S. Wildly variable performance, and squealed like hell.

Well this thread just goes to show you that Brake experienced vary WIDELY.

Maybe I should have been a brake quality control inspector????
