Default apr vs borla(neuspeed) ... gonna do catback, could use some opinions/info. =\

i'm finally getting around to upgrading to v3.0 of the apr chip and while i'm at it i'm doing the cat back as well.

i'm tossing supersprint out considering the cost .. unless there are some real performance/sound advantages over the others.

if price wasnt an issue (how much is the borla/neuspeed catback anyways?) which one would you guys suggest.

i'm kinda leaning towards apr just for being apr. =)

i'm assuming both result in similar performance gains but how do they differ in sound? how are they at cruising speeds ~85mph or so? both are 2.5" right? does one offer a longer warranty than the other? borla did fix the mounting/wet driving issues right? the resonator(?) differs between the 2 designs. ??? any light you guys can shed would be great.

tia

Default The new APR is really nice up through 80mph

At 90, you can hear it clearly. I just did a 3500 mile trip and it was very very comfortable on the highway. When I was dozing, I could tell when my codriver started running over 90. However, it still was a pleasant sound and not obnoxiously loud. It would not have woken me up had I been really asleep.

Default Go for the Borla...

I have not seen or driven a car with the APR but i am happy with my Borla /Neuspeed. The noise is acceptable for me, had no complaints about it yet, not even my gf It produces a very nice and deep sound not raspy at all. From the inside of the car, the exhaust sounds deep and clean from the outside it sounds really mean. For $350 its a bargain.

Default Well...

I didn't get it for that much but i remember back a few months ago people were getting them for that much. I think Carparts.com had a sale and then if you had a 20% coupon the price dropped to around that low. Check around, some other places I'm pretty sure it can be had for under $500. I paid $550 for my Neuspeed one.
