Default APR vs GIAC

i've been reading over the forums and sites comparing GIAC and APR chips; most ppl say that APR gives smoother ride and GIAC gives more HP.
however from the stats value from APR and GIAC website
APR gives 200HP/243torque which = +50HP/+88torque
GIAC gives +47 HP/+80 torque
it's quite obvious APR wins over GIAC a little; but i saw most people prefer GIAC ?...any more comments help me to decide which chip to get ? thanx

Default its like comparing a blonde to a redhead...

both are reputable company, both makes great chips. its just your preference, if you dont' have any then just flip a coin.

apr now has some holiday deal and that security thing which would be a great incentive.

good luck.
ps. i personally have a giac for 00' s4, i wish i have the apr now because the theft protection. giac would be another g or 2 for the upgrade.

Default All 1 bar chips are pretty close.

APR, GIAC, MTM, AMS, Neuspeed, Wett, etc. All of their 1 bar chips are pretty close. Go for what makes you feel good. It also depends if you want to upgrade within their tuning packages since that will alter what you can do. I had a 1 bar wett for 40k+ miles, great chip, great performance, great customer service. They would have been great if I wanted to go with a KO4, since they have an upgrade. I then went with an APR S3 and have been smiling ever since.

But if you want opinions then go with APR, hands down. Best tuner by far. But that is what personal opinions are all about. If nothing else because audi2ptzero isn't associated with them.

Default APR and GIAC use different formula's to come up with crank hp and torque. I would say GIAC is a

little more conservative with their hp rating. On the dyno I've seen some GIAC chips out pull APR on the same car.

Default I'm not sure I agree...

Of all the womed I've dated, the two with glowing red hair we're the most memorable (I'll leave it at that...).

I'm planning on marrying a redhead ;-)

Gotta get the 10vt rebuilt/installed, find and buy a ring, and pay for tuition. You can decide on the order of importance.
