Default Bought the GIAC K04 chip from AWE and they were great. K04 kit perfroms as advertised (more)

except for some inconsistency in power delivery. Most times, most days, it's just fine. Looks like it's weather and / or heat dependant which should go away with a FMIC. You really do need to go with a full catback exhaust. That does make a big difference and AWE certainly recommends it. They have some sort of a pacage deal with their kit and a Borla.

Default Uh..no. You SHOULD spend $460 for a Borla (or eqiuivalent). The FMIC comment is not (more)

specifically K04 kit related. The stock intercooler is more than maxed out even with a chipped K03. It's a classic case of modifying only one piece of an engineering puzzle and expecting it to work perfectly. The 225TT K04 uses much better I/Cs to deal with cooling the increased intake charge. So too should a properly engineered K04 setup. I plan to do that but it is not absolutely necessary. Even though the GT25 may be pumping more in it's efficient range in Stage III trim, I'd also bet most if not all Stage III folks will go with APR's new FMIC once it becomes available for exactly the same reasons. I think it was European Car mag that said they would even go FMIC before a chip on the K03.
