Default Re: B6 w/ B5 S4 brakes

i've been looking into this same thing. my biggest problem is trying to find out why my '04 1.8tq6m avant brakes feel so soft with no initial bite and lots of pedal movement and pressure needed for hard stops.

my buddy's '00 has great initial bite, feel and power.

i've heard rumors that audi made the '04's feel a little softer for comfort. but i get no straight answers.

also, the my dealer says that i should have the same size rotors as the 3.0 if i got the sport pack. but this again, is unsubstantiated since he didn't know the actual sizes of the rotors.

i'd be kidding myself if i said i need more braking than what i've got. it's the feel that is so crappy. so wondering if i can just replace pads and fluid and get the initial bite and pedal feel back before investing bigger bucks into rotor/caliper upgrades.

Default Many people have done it. I'm looking into it myself. The fronts are a direct bolt on...

However, you can't fit B5 S4 rears on the B6 A4. I'll probably end up getting the S4 fronts and then just changing out the rear rotors. You can upgrade your 1.8 rears to 3.0 rears though. Hope it helps.

Default What wheel offset do you need?

I currently have 19s (don't know the offset, but I know it's not enough to clear w/o spacers) and I'll be needing to get replacement wheels for my winter setup (currently 16" steelies w/ blizzak lm-22s). I figure I'll get 17s somewhere, but what offset do I need to be looking for?
