is it a bad idea to install lowering springs on a A4 1.8tq with stock sport shocks?
I want to give my car a lower stance, but dont want to go with a full out spring/shock combo right now. so im thinking about having eurosport lowering springs, or another type. will this have any negative affects? will it increase handling? any possible affects bad o good, i dont want to do it if it will harm the car
thanks.
thanks.

I went that way...works for a while
The front OEM sport shocks held up OK with the Audi/Eibach springs but my rear OEM sport socks were initially too soft (a bit of "floating" at high speed) which degraded over time to a significant lack of control. By the 10k mile point I swapped out the shocks with Neuspeed/Bilstein. If I had to do it over I would have put the shocks on there day 1.
The Audi/Eibach springs do a nice job of firming up the handling (body control under cornering and stopping, responsiveness to steering inputs, etc.) and do not degrade the ride over rough surfaces too much. What you lose in simple comfort you get back + in terms of control.
