Besides supercharger/exhaust/air-filter/chip, what performance upgrades could the 2.8 engine take?

The s4 is not without it's reliablity issues.
But you do get a 4 year warranty! Unless the regional rep voids it with your mods....

This site shows mods for a 12 Valve engine (more)...
If you are looking at buying a new one, you get the 30v engine and can get a PES supercharger.
If you are getting a 12 Valve (96 or 97 2.8), send me an e-mail and I'll give you some more details than what's currently on my site.

You could go to a driving school...that's probably worth as much or more than some of the mods
listed above.
