Some people can run them without problems others experience pressure drops and CEL with upgraded turbo kits. I'd find someone with your same setup to see how it worked. I have an APR stage 3 but have messed with a FMIC for just such a reason. There is a little debate about the need for a FMIC unless you are consistently making >300 HP.

Yes and no...
if you run on the street only, it is unlikely that you will heatsoak the stock IC with under 300hp. Run 250hp on the track in the summer for 20 minutes and I gaaarrrooonnnttttteeeee it will heatsoak.
