Best performance upgrade for 01 Quattro 2.8?

Looking for some input, what are the best ways to add some power to the 2.8 awd v6 with manual shift?

Sell it and buy a 1.8t or S4?
Wife had the 2.8, I had the 1.8 with an MTM K-04 setup, way easier to mod the 1.8t.
Is the PES supercharger still available for the B5?

I looked at the PES website and I did not see an option for the B5 on the site anymore. I was able to find a few used ones but still asking just as much as the whole car cost for the supercharger. I was thinking about just buying a 1.8t, but finding decent ones around me seems to be about impossible or they are asking ridiculous prices.
