Default Cool but at the price you talked about I would rather buy a 4 bar that us crushed to be

a 5 bar for $89 or buy a fully adjustable FPR for under $200.

I agree, but as said, it was a part of a setup. The ECM programming was made for 5 bar pressure and stock injectors, so this was the easy way. With adjustable regulator the pressure adjusting has to be made more carefully. I think the best way to go would be with a set of bigger injectors and a matching (custom?) programming from a reliable tuner especially, if further engine modifications are planned.

What's your current setup, Audi2ptzero? K04? Modified fpr? I'd be intrested to know...

Default A adjustable FPR with a pressure gauge on it is the way to go.

This way you can set the pressure to 5bar(72psi) at idle and then adjust it up or down to make the most power. I wish I had one on my car so when I race at one of my tracks I run at which is over 3000 ft I can lean the car out a bit to make the same power.

Right now I am running a standard K04-15 on a 2032cc motor with stock 270cc injectors on a 5 bar fpr. I am running 18-20psi of boost and my injectors are running at 100% which is a injector pulse of 35ms, if I turn the boost up any higher I drop a light on my AF ratio gauge and the car goes lean. I got a chip from someone else that is tuned for 310cc injectors but the chip does not have enough adv timing so my car runs like **** while at full throttle since I have 8:1 compression now and the chip was tuned for his stock 9.5:1 and the timing was pulled back even more because his car pinged all the time. Right now I am just waiting to get on a dyno so I can get the car tuned with 440cc injectors.

This friday I am going to go to the 1/8th mile drags and try running my old K03 drag chip that was tuned for 104 octane and ran 9.1 in the 1/8th 14.29 in the 1/4. I want to see if I can hit 8.9 in the 1/8th with it since I am already hitting 9.2 on my current setup with 91 octane.

Default Hahahaha you wish boy, Garrett runs mid to high 8's not 7's. Not many cars run 7's on the 1/8th

and if they do they are making 500 hp to do so. Gary's X-chip S4 runs mid 8's and is pretty much the fastest street car there.

You might want to ask garrett what he ran at the Q since I know he ran 8.6-8.7's and my setup with the PES kit was running 8.5-8.6. and my Drag K03 setup ran 9.1's.

Just so you understand drag racing, to get your time from the 1/8th mile you multiply it by 1.5-1.6 to get a 1/4 mile time. If he was running 7's he would have been running high 11's in the 1/4 for a 7.9 in the 1/8th and that is not what he is running.

I have seen a few street cars run 7's and they are running V8's on 100+ shot of nos making 480-500 hp at the wheels.

Default Re: Ur right I ran 8.7 with 225 whp....

thats also on pump91 oct gas with 18 psi ,not 28 iirc.

Never got a chance to go back out on the 1/8th again, had new chip, put out like 278 also on 18 psi pump 91 gas. Also still with 2.25" borla still on there. I would of hit 300+ whp on race gas...but I'm sure your car could do the same thing...lol.
Most other A4's also dont weigh 200+ lbs less like your does.

But that is the past and this is now...cant wait to run the cars side by side....will be cool having 2 fast Audi's well at least one fast one till ya get rid of that K04.

Question on your duty cycle...

Why run your injectors at 100% duty cycle???

Doesn't seem very ideal, to say the least.

Default I have not had my 2032cc motor tuned yet.

I am only running stock injectors and the 5 bar fpr which is how the K04 chips are setup till I get the 440cc injectors.

ok, so the 100% d.c. is just a temporary thing then...was just curious

From what little I've read on tuning the neu-20vt 440's will do quite nice, I'm having to learn things about the AEB since one of my roommates has an A4tq now...
