Bugatti Veyron
Was reading about this car. Also saw the Top Gear episode on it:

I noticed that VW makes the W16 engine. Does this car also use the Torsen differential? Would make sense since it has AWD and VW and Audi share technology. Here's another site with some interesting info:

Not necessarily, haldex necessary for transverse mount, but not for longitudinal . . .
DSG technology should work with any configuration.
That damn Veyron is so complex, its hard to tell whether it uses a transfer case like a 4x4 to get the power to both ends of the car or something else. However, as it is mid-engine, it likely uses something similar to a transfer case.
It would have to use a rear engine set-up like a Porsche Carerra 4 to drive the rear wheels and the front wheels from a single transmission without the need for something like a transfer case.
If I interpret correctly from viewing the diagrams on the Veyron web side, the Veyron has the transmission facing forward and it uses a shaft running along side the oil pan to transfer the power to a differential on the back side of the engine.

Look for opaque 360* view of Veyron W-16 with integrated driveshaft along oil pan

I think you're right...
Saw this picture of the engine and drivetrain on the Bugatti:

It shows the 7spd tranny in the front with shafts going to the front and alongside to the back. Probably some technology other than Torsen.
