Default bumper shock bolt stuck...help please

thanks to some bad body work, I dont have the correct bolt for my bumper shock...and after a few years it has desided to really stick in my car. I need some ideas on how to get it out.

so far I have:
-Mashing the next size up allen in
-Mashing in a 12 point in
-Mashing a socket on
-trying to grind some flats and mash socket on (still cant get one to fit right)
-Mashing a 12 point wrench on
-Heating
-Cutting groove to use big screwdriver.. got grooves, but not a screw driver big enough.... *sigh*
-Tried drilling and using screw extractor set... wont drill very far, plus bad angle

Help please! i'm gonna make a trip to sears and see if the bolt extractor set will work any better than the screw extractor

Default Are you talking about the bolt that threads into the shock

from under the bumper near the fog light?

Default Could always try drilling the head off. I think the bumper should come off then, and then you

could just replace the whole shock if necessary

Default well at that point the threaded section should unscrew out the top

of the shock, since it is used to adjust the bumper hight.

Default yikes...

maybe you can get the 4 bolts off the shock holder? would that work?

otherwise i'd mutilate the bolt to the point where you can get the bumper off, then deal with getting the rest out with the bumper off.

bentley for reference

Default How 'bout some NUTZ! No point in wasting a socket, cheap ones will.....

break anyways.

You should be able to get it with an external style extractor.

I used a "bolt-out" kit from crapsman on the outer edge when the inside started stripping
