I notice that Greddy's catchcan doesnt have it..so is a breather filter necessary? I'm trying to decide between a homemade or buy one..

The filter is used to vent of some of the pressure. If your doing a two port can then you will not
want one with a filter since your turbo will be sucking in some outside are thru that filter which will be unmetered. If you do a single port you will want one with a filter and just cap off the section at the intake tube just before the turbo.

need help with my can setup
Hey I just bought a Greddy can, for my TT which pukes out alot of oil and covers my intercooler and samco hoses and intake. I was going to position my can which has two ports, to T off the line leading from what appears to be some kind of mini oem oil catch or pressure valve and has a hose that leads directly to lower section of intake hose. THis section is covered with oil. I thought A bypass leading to the can which I was gonna fill with Plastic dishpan wool and then the outlet would be plumbed back to this interupted line and then into intake. What do you think about this? It would all be sealed so that no outside air was entering system.
