can and if possible. putting a K04 turbo in a A4 2.8
#2
um.. thousands of dollars and a week of work
got to mention, needs full garage facility expert in mechanics and plumbing.
then its easy. still cheaper just to buy a S4
whats involved. oil/water plumbing, exhaust/intake mod, injection mod, electrical wiring and welding. and lastly thousands of dollars for turbo+misc.

Sure, bolt on S4 turbo components....
same block, probably same head too.
That's not the issue though, compression is. the 2.8 has 10.3:1 compression, a full point higher than the S4 (9.3:1) You could probably runs stock S4 boost levels, but not much higher. K03's would probably work fine for that.
Then there's the whole engine management problem.....

interesting issue
He could plumb up just one side with a throwaway junkyard S4 intercooler/kkk03/manifold/plenum/computer (canbus should allow this). The LPT SAABs run this set up, for just low boost.

We have a dyno day locally next month. I'll debut it there ;)
The A6 2.8 (pre 1998) has a ton of room to do even a cross over pipe (in front of the engine - thank goodness to it's use of electric fans) to have both banks drive a T25, T3 or better yet, T3/T4. It should be a killer project if that's the one you were thinking of.
