Can the K04 run with the OEM ECU or...
do I have run different software. My dealer may need to replace my KO3 on my 99.5 1.8tqms. Can I have them put in a K04 without an ECU upgrade for now?

just the k04 chip(no ecu) is priced more. i read from the forums.
they say it should be around $700-800
$1650 kit = $800 turbo + $X software + $70 plugs + $60 FPR

KO4 kits are now $1795, and $1200 of that is the turbo...
The KO4 turbos have just had a price increase, even SPP is selling them for $1200 w/ o software or fpr. So you're a little steep...plus, if you already have a giac, you can get $200 off.

then again SPP prices have nothing to do with it, right?
i did see in the ads that a new k04 costs $800, SPP has other plans in mind. i only learned of the software pricing from other AWers, best way to find out is to call AWE and get the real pricing on JUST the software
