Default NOTE: The tech at my dealership said these vaccum lines fail a LOT!

He said I should keep an eye on the top half of the vaccum line that accuates the bypass valve (the small cloth-covered one) and make sure it does not become broken or cracked. He said they have had a lot of failures of this hose. I guess the hose must become brittle from the heat.

Possibly off-topic, but just FYI.

If you change your bypass valve I would recommend also changing the bypass valve actuator vaccum line with one made of some high-temperature silicone(sp?).
