Careful doing business with JH Motorsports!

I ordered a lightweight flywheel and 5R clutch combo from JH Motorsports to replace a worn unit on my S5. I paid extra for International Priority shipping in order to expedite shipping since my transmission was disassembled. I called JH Motorsports 3 days after expected shipment information and was told the shipment was delayed due to someone at JH Motorsports had found something wrong with the unit but they were sending me a correct one that day. Though frustrated due to paying extra for shipping, I let it go. Upon arrival of the unit, it was noticed that the unit was defective. The pressure plate would not mate with the flywheel. Again frustrated, I notified JH Motorsports of the problem and sent pictures and video. The customer service representative then instructed my mechanic to modify the unit to make it work. First, this is the first time I have ever heard of a performance part company asking a third part to modify one of their parts to install in a customer vehicle. Would they warrantee that? Second, the modification would not have worked anyway. It would have only caused damage to the transmission. Discussions went on for 3 weeks with JHM to resolve this issue during which my old unit was reinstalled so I could have transportation for work. JHM eventually agreed to replace the unit upon return and inspection. I again paid for International Priority to send the unit back. Upon inspection they deemed the unit defective and sent a correct unit which I again had to pay for disassembly/re-assembly of my transmission to install. I contacted JHM to try and resolve the issue of paying $1,492.60 for the first disassembly/assembly and $381.12 for shipping the unit back. Total I paid due to JHM sending a defective unit is $1,873.72. This is what I was told by JHM, "Unfortunately, I cannot cover those costs of those reinstallation of your old components. We do not cover labor for any of our parts not completed at JHM even when a warranty claim, incorrect parts or damaged item is received. This unfortunately in an industry standard". Is this an "industry standard"? I have been treated completely different (much better!) by other manufacturers/vendors in cases similar to this. I AM NOT asking to be compensated for the installation of the corrected unit or the first shipment that was delayed. I find this customer service to be completely unsatisfactory. I'm not wealthy, I'm enlisted U.S. military so this is a lot of money for me. JH Motorsport is completely at fault in this matter and I should not be expected to pay $1,873.72 for their error. I caution everyone from doing business with them.
