CEL back on......does "misfire detected cyl 1" mean that i'm running on 5 instead of 6cy
CEL back on and have yet to replace 02 sensors....rough and erratic idle at times. I noticed a black dust under the exhaust tip(running rich), is there any way aside from 02 sensors to fix this; possibly reprogrammed ECU or adjustable fuel pressure regulator. I noticed when CEL was off for 5 days straight i had an increase in performance/ does DTC Misfire Detected CYl 1 shuft of my first cylinder?

Misfire DTC doesn't "turn off" the spark signal sent by the ECU...
The DTC is just a "stored fault" to let the technician know the cylinder has had weak/non-existing spark at some point in the past.
