which chip is more reliable and less problematic? APR or GIAC
I have an 03 1.8T Q and I'm looking to chip it. An APR tuner is located 15 minutes from my house and I might go with them but I'm unsure about the reliability and any problems such as stuttering or power losses... Which do you guys think is a better choice

ton of chip debates in the past - leads me to believe there is little difference
If it was me I'd go with APR based on 1. good rep. and 2. they're close to your house
GIAC has a good rep also.
I think if I had a custom tuning requirement I would go out of my way to have GIAC tune it.
But my APR s1 works great as do many here on the board.

between the two you wont have any problems as long as the tuner who's doing the install
does reputable work. IMO, APR has a pretty smooth
program, where as GIAC program tends to favor a
driver looking for a responsive accelerator.
I myself have APR on 98.5 1.8TQT commuting up to
75 miles a day and it's all good
