The Clutch saga continues...
So my new clutch is in and it is not slipping as bad as it did right after the install. My clutch place thinks the tech at the dealership glazed the clutch by trying to get it to slip and succeeding. I brought it in because of the slipping clutch. They just wanted to blame the clutch for the failure not their install.
So the theory is that now I'm slowly breaking the clutch in.
My problem is it only slips when going from cruising to hard throttle in 4th and 5th gear. Anybody got an idea as to why this might be happening?
The clutch doesn't slip at a hard launch or even hard acceleration in the first three gears.
Anyone considering getting a clutch(they say they should have a lightened flywheel in October) kit I would still recommend South Bend. They have done everything in their power to help with the situation.
here's the before:

this is what is in now:

Because when your driving at a low rpm
and go from part throttle to WOT in 4th and 5th gear you get the most load and your boost will be much higher then when doing a hard launch while sitting still. That is why you should always do WOT tests while at 3000-3500 rpms in 5th gear to see how much the clutch slips. When it no longer slips while do this then you know it is fully broken in.

I believe I got the DZ... I initially paid nothing for the install
my engine was replaced under warranty so they installed it for free with a warrantied flywheel. I just go bent over at the dealership, they reduced it 20% and I still paid $850 for the labor.
If this keeps up I'm scheduled to go to a local tuner for another clutch install, South Bend is going to work something out with them so I won't have to foot another bill.
The local tuner said they've done a clutch in 4 hours before, @ $70/hr that's a steal.
