Are coilovers a DIY thing on an A6?
I'm looking at replacing my stock non-sport suspension on my 2000 A6 2.7t with KW coilovers, and I'm trying to decide if I should attempt the install my self or just drop it off at a local shop and let them handle it. Does anyone in the forum have experience with instaling coilovers?

You can do it yourself...
...but you'll need to get it aligned afterwards. If you have a 2.7T, however, I'm assuming you have the means to pay someone $300-$400 to do it for you.

You have any other Automotive maintenance experience? ;O)
Most suspension upgrades are "bolt-in"?
With the right skills, knowledge & tools, any DIY job is not a real problem! ;O)

http://home.ec.rr.com/miktip</a

Depends how much you can do.
I work at a shop and installed an H&R kit on an A6 2.7T a couple of days ago. The front was cake, as it's just like an A4. The rear is a pain because you need to unbolt both the upper and lower control arms from the hub housing. The bolt for the lower arm dicates rear camber, so if it's not reassembled spot on you'll definitely need a 4wheel alignment.
