Default i had axxis ultimates on my old car (02 accord v6)...

they dont have very much initial bite and take a lil while to get warmed up but once warmed up they have pretty good bite to em.

i dont have any experience with the porterfields so cant speak on them. btw i just used mine for road use so if you want track or auto-x i cant give you a point of view on that either.

all in all id say the ultimates are a pretty good pad. surprisingly not that dusty for the bite they have

Default I love the bit my porterfields have....

the bite rocks though.

Default get the carbotech bobcat!

the best street pad i've ever used!!!!

no noise, very little dust, great pedal bite and release. this pads didnt fade @ all on the track @ putnum. this track is easy on the brakes but still, for a street pad these things rock!

they are a far better pad then the axxis pads for sure. i've never used the porterfields.

Default Ditto...

For street/Autox pad they're fantastic.
Low dust, and very good for very agressive street driving. They hold up well during HPDE's and the Autox.

Default I like the Ultimates. Not a huge fan of the PFields.

I'd like to try the Carbotech Bobcats

Default I've got the Axxis Ultimate's all around right now...not that impressed

They don't have great initial bite, but they have good stopping power if you get on them. Their bite inceases if they are warmed up, though - which makes it kind of annoying since they are cold most of the time during daily driving. Zero noise, less dusty than stock. Don't use them for the track, though. Although the fade resistance is better than stock I've still managed to get them smoking with a few bact-to-back hard stops (80-20mph) and I've got the A8 front brakes on my A4. I'll be looking for something with more bite next time.

Default 80% street = street pads, 10% road course = track pads, 10% auto-x = street/track pad

So, get an agressive street pad and use it for auto-x as well.

Use a separate set of pads for the track only.
