Default Crap...I got no boost...on a B6 1.8T

Under 5 according to my boost gauge...whazzup wit dat? I am usually at 20 lbs in third ....did I just blow a turbo and didn't know it...the car just got slow...BUT..I have no check engine lights..or no other symptoms. The car is way more sluggish than a stock car...it may be in limp mode..but wouldn't it have a check engine light if it was? I thought it had something to do with the heavy rain..but somehow I think its a turbo that went south. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Default Just had a water pump replaced at 13K miles...

And water temp is a bit low...which is sorta strange..since my temp needle is usually straight up..middle of the gauge.

soft limp most likely. Shut off and restart. If still in limp, time for VAG. could be leaks, bpv

Default I have the Bailey motorsport diverter valve

Think I should take it back to the dealer..or deal with this outside of the dealership?

Default tough call. Since it is boost related, they could blame the mods and no warranty work...

but you may have be able to work with them better to see if it's some sloppy job done previously that caused the problem.

I'd start off with VAG though.

Default Heavy rain?? did you get some water onto the MAF wire? Also, pull ECU and then try

The VAGcom doesnt completely take care of all code remants, or at least didnt at 1 time. pull power 2 ecu for 10 min. and see if it clears up. then pull maf and see if wire broke.

no more visible wires on the newer MAFs. Just thin film technology. I like wire better though.
