Default The 3.0 has a butterfly (maybe two?) valve somewhere in the system...

like the EXUP Valve on Yamaha motorcycles that manipulates packpressure. Make sure you figure out where that is in the system, and what the impact of removing it might be.

Default Really? More Info?

I know they have VVT on the exhaust valves but this is the first I heard about "manipulating backpressure"

Do the butterflies switch to a different diameter pipe? I've always understood pressure drop by itself to be a bad thing, but pressure drop due to smaller diameter pipes can be a good thing if it helps scavenging.

Nissan does this with their mufflers on the Maxima and all Infiniti's except the G20.
