An Awesome AUDIence

I have an 04 1.8t quattro and I was going to buy a bolt on design but my friend welds for a living, and looked at it and said to just buy my own mufflers and he could get some 2.5 tubing and he would just cut it off after the cat and do me up a new one. I was going to go either Borla or Magnaflow but Borla is expensive and Magnaflow makes some good deep tone mufflers. Any tips, objections or suggestions...

I had a magnaflow on my gti vr6... sounded awesome.. not too loud, but definitely noticable... with that said, i'm going with a borla on my s4. Definitely a thumbs up for magnaflow tho.
