DBW Standalone, Removing stock ecu.
I got some questions about removing the stock ecu. This is what I know so far: When removing the stock ecu you will definitely lose the TACH on the stock cluster. Anyone know if the other gauges still work such as speedo, coolant, oiltemp, center display? Also when removing the stock ecu do I lose the function of the A/C.
The reason I want to do this is becuase of the ease of reinstallation whenever I have to do smog (Live in California). All I would need to do is swap ECU, remove aftermarket TACH, and swap back to DBC.
I am already aware of the 034efi and their PnP harness but I really prefer the software of Autronic.

Call Tim @ NEA, he has done Autronic and is a dealer. I removed the ECU w/034 but I dont need to put
it back. Autronics is the ticket if you can spend a little more, but my 034 does what I need for now, just not as developed as much as Autronics IMO.
